Our History

The history of the «Karpaty» plant dates back to the 1970s. The main purpose of the repair and mechanical plant was to service the giants of the chemical and oil refining industries of the Soviet Union.

The first products of the plant were mainly types of mining equipment, metal sleepers for walking excavators, coils for sulfur smelting machines, technological tanks and a number of nominal equipment for the technological cycle of underground sulfur smelting.

The journey of thousands of kilometers, traveled by our cars, began with one step.

The main task of the production back then was the manufacture of complex technological and large equipment for the needs of enterprises in the industry. In 1993-1994, the plant underwent a corporatization process and became an autonomous unit of the national economy of Ukraine.

In 2012, today's limited liability company Karpaty Research and Mechanical Plant was established with a focus on the development of freight car building.

Today the company owns a land plot with a total area of 20 hectares. There are 24 buildings and structures in this area. The plant operates its own power substation with a capacity of 35 kW and a network of access railways with a length of 5.7 km. Production capacity processes about 2.5 thousand tons of rolled metal, castings and components per month, and the number of staff is 800 people.

The renewal of the machine park, the development of laser cutting technologies, processing on CNC machines, the achievement of significant mechanization and automation of processes has led to a significant increase in production. The process of modernization and reconstruction, the process of rebranding and raising corporate culture has begun.
